Art Evangelizes

Listen to this talk by Father Barron in which he emphasizes the importance of beauty in general and art in particular when it comes to evangelization.

"Evangelizing Through Beauty"

Speeches like this make me feel blessed to be an artist.

A Favor

One of my teachers from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit has a new web site. Here!

This amazingly talented guy is doing performances for school assemblies. He's wonderfully sincere, entertaining, and funny. You won't be disappointed if you ever get a chance to see him do his thing.

I'm giving him a shout out to help him out. You go get 'em, Eugene Clark!
Woo Hoo!

Voris!

Ok...
so it's by FAR not the most flattering photo of me (cringe), but the guy standing next to me is Michael Voris! Oh man, this guy gets me on fire for my faith! And guess what, he's a really nice guy too. He may come across as all spitfire on TV, but I was impressed by his humility.

So If you are still scratching your head saying, "What's the big deal? Who IS that guy?" Well, follow the links.
Prepare to be fed, challenged or both.

Fourth Dimension Human

These images reminded me of what the human body might look like separated briefly from a linear timeline of experience. If one is not into that sort of thing, well, they are also pretty darn cool.

Speaking of Greed...

The following is the web address of an article that was republished in our parish bulletin once upon a time. I agree with some of what this guy is saying, but some of his views really rub me the wrong way. I'll respond to it later.

"America's Disease is Greed"
