Double Standard: Assaults Ignored
A majority of incidents of violence between these two groups is inflicted by persons of pro-choice attitudes, but when was the last time anyone heard a report about this on the news?
This month in New Mexico, a pro-choice woman attacked some pro-life protesters, using her car keys as a weapon she inflicted a deep bleeding gash on one man's head. The violence was caught on video. Her car license plate number was noted and the police were called. By the time the video was posted to the site www.prochoiceviolence.com there had still been no responce by the police to the issue of this assault. Since then the woman has indeed been summoned to court to answer for assault and battery charges and a local news station ran a brief clip of the story. That is more news coverage than most violence against pro-life activists receives.
See the video that the national news media ignored: HERE.

I'm Here... Where Is My Mammogram?

Planned Parenthood claims they provide essential basic health care services to poor and underprivileged women.
Just TRY to find a Planned Parenthood in your area that actually offers the "essential" services (like mammograms) that they say they offer. There is a video you need to see.

One Baby Too Many
A worried woman went to her gynecologist and said:
'Doctor, I have a serious problem and desperately need your help! My
baby is not even 1 year old and I'm pregnant again. I don't want kids
so close together.
So the doctor said: 'Ok and what do you want me to do?'
She said: 'I want you to end my pregnancy, and I'm counting on your
help with this.'
The doctor thought for a little, and after some silence he said to the
lady: 'I think I have a better solution for your problem. It's less
dangerous for you too.'
She smiled, thinking that the doctor was going to accept her request.
Then he continued: 'You see, in order for you not to have to take
care 2 babies at the same time, let's kill the one in your arms. This
way, you could rest some before the other one is born. If we're going
to kill one of them, it doesn't matter which one it is. There would
be no risk for your body if you chose the one in your arms.
The lady was horrified and said: 'No doctor! How terrible! It's a
crime to kill a child!
'I agree', the doctor replied. 'But you seemed to be OK with it, so I
thought maybe that was the best solution.'
The doctor smiled, realizing that he had made his point.
He convinced the mom that there is no difference in killing a child
that's already been born and one that's still in the womb.
The crime is the same!

Politically Incorrect Poem Found in Textbook
Anyhow, I ended up with two textbooks in the end. Not two different text books, but both the third and fourth edition of the same textbook. I fell for the new teacher's insistance that the fourth edition was better and that having the same page numbers would be beneficial to following along in class. Yes, I can be a sucker.
Flipping through one edition and then the other not long ago, trying to decide whether I would eject one or both books from my personal library, I noticed an interesting poem that we hadn't covered in class. It was in chapter 36 of "The Humanistic Tradition" book 6 "The Global Village of the Twentieth Century" by Gloria K. Fiero. The chapter title was "Identity and Liberation". I beleive the only reason the poem made it into the book at all is because it was written by African American Harlem Renaissance Poetess Gwendolyn Brooks. I'm sure it didn't hurt that she had previously won the Pulitzer Prize for poetry. Rather than trying to describe what I had read I will present Ms. Brooks' poem to you.
"The Mother" 1945
Abortions will not let you forget.
You remember the children you got that you did not get,
The damp small pulps with a little or with no hair,
The singers and the workers that never handled the air.
You will never neglect or beat
Them, or silence or buy with a sweet.
You will never wind up the sucking-thumb
Or scuttle off ghosts that come.
You will never leave them, controlling your luscious sigh,
Return for a snack of them, with gobbling mother-eye.
I have heard in the voices of the wind the voices of my dim killed children.
I have contracted. I have eased
My dim dears at the breasts they could never suck.
I have said, Sweets, if I have sinned, if I seized
Your luck
And your lives from your unfinished reach,
If I stole your births and your names,
Your straight baby tears and your games,
Your stilted and lovely loves, your tumults, your marriages, aches, and your deaths,
If I poisoned the beginning of your breaths,
Believe that even in my deliberateness I was not deliberate.
Though why should I whine,
Whine that the crime was other than mine?-
Since anyhow you are dead.
Or rather, or instead,
You were never made.
But that too, I am afraid,
Is faulty: oh, what shall I say, how is the truth to be said?
You were born, you had body, you died.
It is just that you never giggled or planned or cried.
Believe me, I loved you all.
Believe me, I knew you, though faintly, and I loved, I loved you
All.

The Gardasil Deception
I had a doctor's appointment today and as I cooled my heels in the waiting room I noticed a display of Gardasil pamphlets. I didn't used to think one way or another about this new vaccine or their intense advertising campaign. I assumed it was like breast cancer awareness and was conducted in the public's best interest. However, I discovered that just like the Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign there is some deception and/or facts purposely left out for the advertiser's benefit. I continue to amaze myself with my own naive willingness to assume the best from others. When I became better informed on the issue I can now see the Gardasil machine as the propaganda that it is.
I am posting an article from ALL's magazine "Celebrate Life". It is readily available on their own site, but since I had problems trying to get the article to download I figured I'd make it available here in another format. Where one has a problem downloading, there will be others, and this issue is important enough to re-post.
Please click on each image in order to read the pages of the article.
(I'd like to point out that when this article was written the advertising was only targeting girls and young women. The pharmaceutical company has since decided to "recommend" that boys receive the shot also.)

I will be following up on this post with more info as I find the time. Meanwhile, stay informed and God bless.

Social Foetuses
How awkward it must be to maintain a pro-choice philosophy when scientific studies continue to show how sophisticated and "un-blob-of-tissue-like" baby humans are in utero.
-Anna
Unborn babies want to socialize as early as week 18 of gestation, a study of twins has shown.
The Italian researchers used an advanced method of ultrasonography, which enables the movements of foetuses to be recorded over time in 3D. The aim was to see how five pairs of twins interacted with each other in their mothers’ wombs.
The first 20-minute recording sessions taken during week 14 of pregnancy, showed the foetuses touching each other as well as themselves, and the uterine wall.
During the second recording, four weeks later, their interest in their twin was some three times higher, with almost 30 per cent of movements directed towards the sibling. Those movements were also more accurate then self-directed ones, the researchers reported in PLoS ONE magazine.
The changes were quite consistent among the ten foetuses studied. The authors believe this indicates that humans are “wired to be social”, and our interest in communication comes naturally as the neural system matures.

NIMBY!

Not In MY Back Yard!!! This is the most urgent local issue in Oakland County Michigan. I only live a couple miles from where they want to open this monstrosity!
Opposition grows against Planned Parenthood in Auburn Hills
- January 20th, 2011 2:03 pm ET
Petitions opposing an abortion clinic in Auburn Hills are quickly and quietly being circulated at area churches and throughout the communities of Auburn Hills, Lake Orion, Pontiac, Rochester and Rochester Hills as citizens learn that Planned Parenthood has purchased property nearby on Opdyke Road.
‘People need to know this is our backyard, and it's being attacked especially the young people of Pontiac, Oakland University, and all of Oakland County.’ Says Mark Joyce, one of the Knights of Columbus at St. Mary of the Hills Catholic Church in Rochester Hills.
Calling it our own personal Cuban Missile Crisis, attorney Rebecca Kiessling agrees that it is time to sound the alarm. ‘This threat is in our backyard and aimed at our area. It is the worst thing to happen in our community.’
Monica Miller, president of Citizens for a Pro-Life Society whose group is leading the charge says that ‘…we must work together to stop this clinic from opening its doors. We need to tell our city leaders and businesses that we do not want an abortion clinic in our neighborhood!’
‘This is a community that offers support for pregnant women,’ says Evelyn Van Sloten of Crossroads Pregnancy Center. The CPC helped 197 women last year to change their minds about having an abortion. In addition to pregnancy testing, counseling, adoption referral and supplying clothes and equipment for newborns and their mothers, they teach the benefits of abstinence to students in grades 7 – 12 as the healthy pre-requisite for healthy marriages.

Pope's Prayer for the Unborn
You who faithfully visit and fulfill with your Presence
the Church and the history of men;
You who in the miraculous Sacrament of your Body and Blood
render us participants in divine Life
and allow us a foretaste of the joy of eternal Life;
We adore and bless you.
Prostrated before You, source and lover of Life,
truly present and alive among us, we beg you.
Reawaken in us respect for every unborn life,
make us capable of seeing in the fruit of the maternal womb
the miraculous work of the Creator,
open our hearts to generously welcoming every child
that comes into life.
Bless all families,
sanctify the union of spouses,
render fruitful their love.
Accompany the choices of legislative assemblies
with the light of your Spirit,
so that peoples and nations may recognize and respect
the sacred nature of life, of every human life.
Guide the work of scientists and doctors,
so that all progress contributes to the integral well-being of the person,
and no one endures suppression or injustice.
Give creative charity to administrators and economists,
so they may realize and promote sufficient conditions
so that young families can serenely embrace
the birth of new children.
Console the married couples who suffer
because they are unable to have children
and in Your goodness provide for them.
Teach us all to care for orphaned or abandoned children,
so they may experience the warmth of your Charity,
the consolation of your divine Heart.
Together with Mary, Your Mother, the great believer,
in whose womb you took on our human nature,
we wait to receive from You, our Only True Good and Savior,
the strength to love and serve life,
in anticipation of living forever in You,
in communion with the Blessed Trinity.
Amen

Mother Carries Us All
Ever heard of it?
Women retain cells of every child they have ever conceived. Every child. Not just the children she delivered, but the children she miscarried or aborted also.
Have you ever noticed that many children who have older siblings seem emotionally attached to them, EVEN when they never knew them personally? Twins who lost their sibling in utero or shortly after birth often feel a strange sense of loss. I have heard people talk about these effects in children. Did you know that some of the cells retained by the mother through fetal michrochimerism are passed on to each consecutive child the mother conceives. Thus the youngest child in the family carries part of every sibling their mother has ever carried. I am the oldest child and have found this to be a reason to envy my kid sister. I am not saying these emotional reactions are due only to fetal microchimerism. I am saying that the coincidence is very thought provoking and a little haunting.
My kid sister, Teresa, is my youngest sibling. My mother miscarried a child before Teresa was conceived. We do not talk about that missing sibling very often. However, Teresa has always remained very conscious that our family is missing a person. Since she is the youngest, I have always found this odd. My brother and I were old enough to grieve when mother miscarried Joseph Michael and yet Teresa, who was born after the incident, seems the most affected.
In the case of miscarriage, fetal microchimerism can be very comforting. A part of that child is always with the mother and younger siblings carry part of their missing sibling with them always. However, I have also thought about how haunting this idea can be when it comes to women who have chosen to abort their children. Part of those children remain with the mother always. Is it any wonder that there are post abortion healing programs for mothers, like Project Rachel? If one cannot be rid of all the physical evidence that they conceived a child, now missing, how can one presume that emotions about the event can be shrugged off?
I have found this very interesting. I am no scientist. I just hear information presented and ponder it.
---------------------
"Cutting the umbilical cord doesn't necessarily sever the physical link between mother and child. Many cells pass back and forth between the mother and fetus during pregnancy and can be detected in the tissues and organs of both even decades later. This mixing of cells from two genetically distinct individuals is called microchimerism. The phenomenon is the focus of an increasing number of scientists who wonder what role these cells play in the body." Source.
